#10 What's up with your friends?

"So how is your prayer life?" About 3 or more friends asked me this question in the same day. On the same day! After we had caught up on all the stories I missed. I like gist.... Gist is good.

During that week, I'd say I was asked close to 10 times, on different occasions. Let's talk about my friends for a second. Let's talk about you (Yes, you *smiles*)

I have noticed that's how you, my friends ask me "how are you?": by saying "So what's up between you and Jesus?" Perhaps it is because you know if my prayer life is fine, then everything else will fall into place. No, seriously, that's all we talk about - Jesus. Because everything about us, we find in Him

Moreover, you don't stop at "its fine". Nope. You want the juicy details...is it on fire? Is it dry? Lol, the usual "any Rhema for me?"...meaning you hope I'm not feeding on stale bread. If there are any problems, you readily want to be instruments in God's hands to turn the heat on. If I need advice, the first question is usually "have you prayed about it?" Or the classic "what did God say about it?". In other words, if God has not spoken, you had berra find your square root in His presence. Classic.

In twenty sixteen, I am thankful for my friends. God has been good to me in that respect. I am blessed by our discussions on God, love, life, impact and destiny. You have taught me how to love, have challenged me, have rejoiced with me among many other things. Greater still, you are constantly encouraging me in my walk with God. You have shown me how to be a friend, a true friend.

In my imagination, I see us as soldiers, as comrades, uniting as one to usher in the kingdom of our Lord. I see us holding hands, walking with a fire in our hearts, armed with the weapon of the Word with a singular purpose to destroy the work of the evil one in the lives of those to whom we are sent. Let's talk about the rest in camera.

In twenty seventeen, I promise to not tease you as much, every opportunity I get. I admit I love making people uncomfortable - it's kind of fun to see how you react under foreign circumstances such as your legs being pulled. I don't think I used correct grammar. I digress. I also promise to pray for you as often as I think about you. If you've not been praying for me better repent! God is watching you in 3D oo. Ehn ehnnnn.

If you have not been a good friend to your friends in twenty sixteen, in addition to your other resolutions, resolve to make an impact in twenty seventeen.

And if you haven't met the bestest friend, the one who died for you, if you haven't met Immanuel (God with us), the one many call Jesus, its not too late to ask. He has never turned any away, He will not turn you away *winks**
