"She's hot" they said, as I passed by. I stopped smiling to myself when I realised I was wearing a fairly large coat, and lugging two bags on my shoulders, dragging my feet like a tired woman. (Actually I was very tired and the bags were heavy!) Also, my head was covered in a cocoon-like hoodie with feathers covering the frame of my face. I think you've seen it in my pictures.
That's not hot. Definitely not hot. ... And they were definitely not paying attention to the girl walking by smiling by herself.
"She's anointed" I thought, as I walked on, amused that a part of me wanted to be the subject of their "hot" conversation.
While I find it disturbing that "hot" is a description, I think we have small roles to play in how we are described. In a class I took, the instructor called it "branding".
What do we want people to think when they remember us? Or perhaps gather around to talk about us? By us I mean you and me. Have we deposited something of a lifetime value in the lives of people?
For me, I want people to say "she's an express expression of the beauty of the most high". And I'm walking towards that, branding myself with the name that my Father (in heaven) has given me. In summary, "hot" is good, but "anointed", even better. **Smiles** #random musings
